Welcome back to another week of Top Ten Tuesday! TTT is a bookish meme hosted by the lovely Broken and the Bookish. Check out her blog when you get the chance! Each week bloggers are giving a topic and post their Top Ten list regarding that topic.
This week’s topic is Books You’d Buy Right This Second If Someone Handed You A Fully Loaded Gift Card. FULLY LOADED. I think the better question would be what book would I NOT buy!
Read the list and add your own in the comments, or leave the link to your own TTT.
The Pop-Up Book of Nightmares
I’m always on the lookout for weird and/or creepy books, and the pop-up series (Nightmares/Phobias) would fit in perfectly! Unfortunately they’re hard to find now, and when you do find them the books are a bit pricey.
Absolute Batman Year One
I’m a BIG Batman fan, and this collection is coming out sooo soon! It includes Frank Miller’s script pages and David Mazzucchelli’s original pencil pages. I just can’t shell out the cash for it! (Donations are accepted)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition
I don’t need this book; I already have the series. But…but just look at it! It’s so pretty and colorful! I’ve been avoiding even LOOKING at this book when I’m in a bookstore because I know I’ll want to buy it.
An Anthology of Belizean Literature: English, Creole, Spanish, Garifuna
This book interests me because of my summer trips working in Belize. It’s known as “The Melting Pot of Cultures”, and languages for that matter. While the national language is English, there are still peoples who speak only Spanish, or like the people we work with, Kekchi Mayan. Creole is heard everywhere and written on signs, and I worked with Garifuna in Dangriga.
Much Ado About Nothing Shakespeare Play Antique Old Book Cambridge Edition Text
I already have a 1906 copy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, but Much Ado About Nothing is my favorite play by far, and if you’ve been around my blog for any amount of time you know how much of a Shakespeare geek I am!
