Hello and welcome to another week of Top Ten Tuesday! TTT is a bookish meemee hosted by the lovely Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers are given a topic and post their top ten about that topic!
This week’s TTT is books we’re looking forward to in the second half of 2017. It blows my mind that the year is already nearly half over!
As always, feel free to leave your own recommendation in the comments, or the link to your own TTT!
The Dire King (Jackaby #4) by William Ritter
Set to come out Aug. 22nd, this book is the last of the Jackaby series! 🙁 I’ve followed Jackaby and Ms. Rook from book one, and it’s always had to see a well loved book end, but I’m still excited to get my hands on it!
Rhett & Link’s Book of Mythicality: A Field Guide to Curiosity, Creativity, and Tomfoolery by Rhett McLaughlin, Link Neal
I haven’t ever really felt the need to read a book written by a YouTuber, but Rhett and Link are by far my favorite. Funny story, I found them by searching covers for the song “Reading Rainbow”, the practical anthem of this site! It’s set to be released October 10th.
Wonder Woman: Warbringer (DC Icons #1) by Leigh Bardugo
Meet Diana, Wonder Woman before she became Wonder Woman! I’m super excited about this one, and I really hope it doesn’t fall short of my own hype! And just look at the pretty cover.
Batman (DC Icons #2) by Marie Lu
Also coming out later in 2017 as a part of the same series is Batman! I’m familiar with Marie Lu’s ‘Legend’ series, but haven’t read them, so I’m hoping she’s a good pick for a Batman novel. I’m also hoping this book goes in the same direction as ‘Wonder Woman’ and kind of revolves around a younger Batman.
Odd & True by Cat Winters
Those names. That cover. Demons, monsters, and magic! And just look! A lady wielding a bloody axe in a Victorian dress! Okay so I’m kinda judging a book by its cover a bit here, but I kinda fell in love with it at first sight.
Doctor Who: A Brief History of Time Lords by Steve Tribe
It’s been a while since I’ve read a Doctor Who book, and this one is being released sometime in June. It’s just as the tin says; a history of Time Lords, including the Doctor.
Teen Titans Vol. 1: Damian Knows Best by
Coming out in late June, Damian is back! There’s no closet geek here, nope, none at all. Out of all the Robins that Batman has had under his leathery wings Damian has always been my favorite. Now Damian leading the Teen Titans against Ra’s al Ghul? Perfect.
