Welcome to another Top Ten Tuesday hosted by the lovely blogger from The Broke and the Bookish. Each week bloggers are given a different Top Ten topic to share with their readers, and this week it’s books I’d love to see as a movie or TV show!
I do have to say, there are some crappy movie adaptations. We all know that. But these TV shows that are popping up are way more promising! More time to implement the details that make the book, less of the Hollywood factor that add dumb extras, and an already established fan-base. Boo-ya! Add to that, I’ve a very big fan of mini-series.
If you have any books you would like to add to the list, or have a TTT link of your own, add it in the comments!
Don’t mock me, I know this has several movies and shows but they all SUCK! I’m very specific about this one. I want Tim Burton to direct the movie with Johnny Depp playing Heathcliff. This would so make a perfect Tim Burton movie.
Anyone who has read my blog knows I’m currently fan-girling all over this series. It’s a middle-school age book about a paranormal Sherlockian detective and his new assistant, Ms. Rook. It’s simple and clean; perfect for a movie to watch with my nieces and a nephew who are big Doctor Who fans.
This is an indie book I reviewed awhile back. It’s really perfect for one of those don’t-know-who-to-trust movies. Who’s good? Who’s bad? Are they all just completely insane? Did he really just do that? It is a bit gory so not for the weak stomached.
I reviewed this one not too long ago! Now that I honestly think about it, I really want this to happen. >.< There has never been a movie about two teens just running around a comic convention, getting into trouble, and finding love along the way. They don’t really have to make up a set, just shoot it at a convention. No one would notice a film crew.
I want this entire series as a TV show, please and thank you! Seriously though, it’d be awesome if the right people are in on it.
This would be a Tron-ish movie with a cyber world and a real world- cyber clones and real people. Oh, and weird tattoo ripping mirrors. I need a Tron-ish movie to look forward to since Disney decided to cancel Tron 3 this past week.
I want my Lux series turned into a TV series. Very much badly. Anyone remember that old TV series Roswell? That’s how I’m picturing Lux would turn out. A whole lot of awesomeness.
Confessions of a D-List Supervillain is about a villain that isn’t…very good at his job. Though the book he actually ends up becoming a hero by accident. I imagine this movie would be sort of like Kick-Ass.
This is another one of those don’t-know-who’s-good-or-bad books. The female lead doesn’t know she has magic, then is thrown into a school for her kind and slowly learns about her world and just why she was hidden from it. It would make a lovely TV series.
I’m on the line with this one. In a way, this would make a great movie. But once Hollywood gets a hold of it, there’s no telling what it will turn into! It’s a nice, clean romance that’s mainly about overcoming personal demons, but Hollywood has a way of stripping everything of simple beauty.
