Welcome to another week of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! TTT is a bookish meme for bloggers. Each week bloggers are given a topic and encouraged to give their own top ten lists on that topic!
Last week’s TTT was Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About, which I found happens fairly often with me. This week’s TTT is Books I Can’t Believe I Read. It sounds a bit ominous. I can’t believe because it was that bad? …was it one of my “guilty pleasure” books I don’t talk about? Let’s just make a mix!
Bully by Penelope Douglas
I thought this was going to be one of those love/hate stories, where the characters hate each other in the beginning and slowly start to fall for each other. NOPE! The guy is a complete JERK and apparently people love girls falling for abusers because this is a 4 1/2 star book!
What Does the Fox Say? by Ylvis, Christian Løchstøer, Svein Nyhus , Bård Ylvisåker, Vegard Ylvisåker
I won’t deny that I LOVE this book! It’s basically a picture book reading out the song- yips and ring-ding-dings included- but the art is gorgeous and my nieces and nephew love it. Just look at that majestic fox!
Wishing for Someday Soon by Tiffany King
There’s so much wrong with this book, but so, so much right! <3 It’s a big guilty pleasure book. There are a ton of plot holes and things that could have been resolved easier, but I WANT to overlook them for the characters’ sakes.
Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich
In college I took all the literature classes offered, including Native American Literature. This is one of the books we had to read in that class and it was horrible trying to get through it. Full of excessive and unnecessary language and no plot unless it’s about drunkards cheating on wives and told by several different points of view. I wouldn’t have finished it if it wasn’t for a class!
