Happy New Year!
For the last few years Adult Coloring Books have gained a big hype. I have to say I’ve been one to happily contribute to that hype! I love being able to sit down and color (without the kids) and still feel like I’m adulting(-ish).
I’ve been meaning to get around and review the coloring books I’ve ordered- what I like about them and what I’d change about them if I could- but I’ve yet to get around to it. So I decided throughout the month of January I’m going through my coloring books and reviewing them!
Most of the Adult Coloring Books I own are pop culture- based off of a TV show. I don’t care for the “mature content” books or the color-the-profanity books that have popped up, but I might pick up a few pure fantasy books. The gardens and flowers usually can’t hold my interest long enough to finish a page.
Down below I’ve listed a few of the items I use when I color. I know some people are really meticulous about coloring, but I’m really easy going. It’s for stress relief! I need to keep it simple, people! There are a few things I do want to try, though. I haven’t ventured into trying out my watercolors out on a coloring book yet.
What are some Adult Coloring books you use? What do you color with? Feel free to comment below and give me some ideas to use!
I just use basic Crayola colored pencils. They work alright for me and honestly I’m a little put off from buying expensive colored pencils just to find out that they work just as well as cheap ones. If you have any suggestions for a mid-range price that work better, feel free to suggest them in the comments!
Sharpies are always my favorite to color with! I have an entire box dedicated to the markers, pens, fabric pens, extra fine, highlighters and everything else Sharpie. Every Christmas my dad knows to get me a pack!
This little beauty is something I just received and am finding it to be so very awesome. It’s for laptops- so you can stand at your desk, work from a chair or bed. You can adjust the height and tilt the top or lay it flat. I’ve used it for my laptop, knitting and my coloring books. Now I’m not stuck at my desk all day. Where have you been all my life!
